Our Foster Care Providers:
- save lives
- offer temporary placement inside their homes to dogs & cats in dire need from high-kill shelter facilities, animal impounds or veterinary hospitals
- make a commitment to the health, happiness and well-being of an animal while under rehabilitative care through adoption
- have personal family pets spayed/neutered, licensed, up-to-date on all vaccines, with clean bills of health from a state licensed veterinarian
- often have pet care experience of some kind
- may be asked to administer medications such as antibiotics or monthly vector preventatives
- may need to transport their foster pet to one of our rescue vets for follow-up care
- understand that we pay for all medical expenses for your foster pet
- know that we provide support, resources and networking for foster training
- will be encouraged to take active rolls in the adoption process
