Adoptions Include:

  • Spay or Neuter
  • State Mandated Rabies Vaccine
  • FVRCP series--Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia for cats (commonly known as the "Distemper Shot" for cats)
  • DHLPPC Series--Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvo, Parainfluenza, Corona for Dogs (commonly known as the "Distemper Shot" for dogs)
  • Bordetella inhalant for dogs (commonly known as Kennel Cough prevention)
  • FeLV--Feline Leukemia Virus, FIV--Feline Immunodeficiency Virus blood screening test for cats
  • Heartworm blood screening test
  • Fecal Floatation screening for parasites
  • Flea, Tick, Ear Mite medications
  • Parasiticide treatment for the control of roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and tapeworm
  • Monthly vector preventatives, such as Heartgard & Frontline Plus for dogs, Revolution for cats, while under foster care
  • Microchipping
  • Other medications, treatments, therapy, socialization or surgery as needed for optimum health

Adoption Process:

We do the following background checks before placing an animal in an adoptive home:
1. State or Government Issued Photo Identification
2. Vet Reference
3. Work Reference
4. Personal Reference
5. Criminal Report for any felony or criminal act of cruelty, or violation of any laws pertaining to animals and/or children, domestic violence
6. Family Pet Meet/Greet
